Efficacy of EMDR therapy for anxiety disorders: RCTs review
Description
The randomized controlled trials that investigated the efficacy of EMDR therapy for Anxiety disorders are six over a span of 20 years (1997-2017). Three RCTs focused on Panic disorder, with or without Agoraphobia (Feske and Goldstein, 1997; Goldstein et al, 2000; Horst et al, 2017); two studies targeted specific phobias (Doering et al, 2013; Triscari et al, 2015), whereas the dependent variable of another research was "self-esteem" considered as a mediator factor for Anxiety disorders (Staring et al, 2016).
