Tanto più le ferite dei bimbi sono profonde, tanto più spesso le loro emozioni abitano luoghi nascosti difficili da raggiungere. Spesso i bambini con storie traumatiche hanno corpi che parlano molto, ma poca voce per esprimere ciò che sentono o hanno vissuto. Per aiutare i piccoli pazienti a guarire le proprie ferite, il clinico deve trovare l’accesso a quei luoghi nascosti. Questo albo illustrato è ispirato dal lavoro terapeutico con i tanti bambini che l’autrice ha avuto la fortuna di incontrare, dalla bellezza dei traguardi di guarigione, dagli errori commessi e, soprattutto, dai grandi insegnamenti ricevuti dai piccoli pazienti. Così è nata l’idea di scrivere una storia illustrata per raccontare la psicoterapia, parlare di trauma e introdurre la terapia EMDR ai bimbi e alle loro famiglie.

The deeper children's wounds are, the more often their emotions inhabit hidden places that are difficult to reach. Often children with traumatic histories have bodies that talk a lot, but little voice to express what they feel or have experienced. To help young patients heal their wounds, the clinician must find access to those hidden places. This illustrated book is inspired by the therapeutic work with the many children that the author has been lucky enough to meet, by the beauty of healing goals, by the mistakes made and, above all, by the great teachings received from young patients. Thus was born the idea of writing an illustrated story to talk about psychotherapy, talk about trauma and introduce EMDR therapy to children and their families.
