Psicoterapia EMDR frente al impacto de eventos violentos en mujeres atendidas en un hospital COVID de Trujillo, 2022 EMDR psychotherapy against the impact of violent events on women treated at a COVID hospital in Trujillo, 2022

Description

The efficacy of EMDR psychotherapy was investigated to reduce the subjective stress symptoms of the impact of violent partner events in five women treated at a COVID hospital in Trujillo, 2022. It was a pre-experimental study that for ethical reasons only has an experimental group. The recent opening of the outpatient clinic limited the number of the sample. For the measurement, the scale of impact of events was used. The reduction of symptoms that were at a severe level to a mild level was achieved in all participants (100%). EMDR psychotherapy is highly significant for the reduction of symptoms on the general scale (p= 0.000007), the intrusive (P=0.000075) and avoidant (P=0.000979) subscale.
