Desensitization diary: Integrating EMDR with constructive worry for improving trauma-related insomnia

Description

This study presents a design concept of a mobile application purposed for individuals who cannot receive immediate psychotherapy when experiencing acute and significant stress, trauma, and insomnia following a major accident. It integrates eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy with constructive worry (a method based on cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia). We aimed to provide a low-intensity self-help intervention application for trauma and the alleviation of trauma-related insomnia symptoms.
