Treating early attachment wounds with EMDR therapy

Description

While EMDR is often the treatment choice for many psychotherapists working with the sequelae of overt trauma, it is less widely used in the treatment of early attachment disruptions. Understanding attachment from the AIP model is crucial for an adequate case conceptualization. This workshop will illustrate how attachment patterns show up in therapy sessions and how to adapt EMDR therapy interventions to each case along the 8 Phases of EMDR therapy. Tools to enhance EMDR reprocessing in cases with attachment disturbances will be illustrated through videos and case examples.
