Eclectic and integrative use of brain gym, TFT, SE, and CBT with EMDR

Description

Even a skilled EMDR therapist often experiences that the adaptive information processing (AIP) does not go well. Since human existence is multi-layered and open system, so negative factors to consolidate traumatic memories before, during, and subsequent experiences differ in individuals, and disincensitive factors of AIP are also multi-layered and sometime depend on the relationship between therapist and client. In this symposium, three therapists who combine TFT/Brain Gym, Somatic Experiencing Approach and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with EMDR in their daily practice presented their ways how to combine these techniques and why it's so useful in that therapeutic situations. In the specified discussion, each symposist redefined "what is the healthy/unhealthy states ("states in which the AIP goes well/goes not so well") in the concept of each techniques, and discussed how assess the client and therapeutic situations, tries to discuss EMDR and each psychotherapy on the same intellectual horizon.
