Group resource enhancement protocol
Description
The Group Resource Enhancement Protocol (G-REP) focuses on the internal resources that the client(s) can access currently and helps them develop and strengthen their connection to two additional resources. The intention of G-REP is restoring a greater sense of calm, purpose, efficacy, focus, and resilience. It is useful when there is limited sense of safety or prior to reprocessing pathogenic memories. There is no sharing of traumatic material. Social engagement is encouraged through the sharing of positive resources. This worksheet-based protocol can be an EMDR Preparation activity, a stand-alone intervention, used in group or 1:1. The G-REP allows clinicians with no EMDR training or limited group skills to offer a powerful way to connect and strengthen inner strengths.
